We're hiring
Utility Survey Technician
Bridge traditional utility locating with survey-grade positioning and CAD drafting, alongside licensed surveyors, engineers and senior SUE specialists. No surveying licence required; this role does not perform boundary or legal surveys.
In the field
- Locate utilities with EM equipment to CCGA Best Practices and CAPULC standards
- Capture utility features with GNSS and robotic total stations
- Collect QL-B investigation data and document appurtenances
In the office
- Import field data into AutoCAD
- Prepare utility base plans, overlays and as-builts
- Run quality control on collected data
Safety
- Work safely in roadways, construction sites and utility corridors
- Follow OHSA, corporate and client procedures
